Marcus Construction designed this dry fertilizer river terminal for Alter Logistics and performed as the general contractor. The 40,000-ton fertilizer warehouse has high-capacity blending with seven large storage bins for bulk products and three micro bins. The facility receives product from an 800 TPH barge unloading system as well as a 400 TPH rail unloading system. The dry storage building features an enclosed two-lane truck loadout and rail cars can be loaded utilizing an overhead conveyor. The new barge receiving system feeds both the new facility and Alter’s existing facility on the site.

Other improvements on the site included stormwater retention installation, an extensive rail track expansion and overall was a significant transformation of the property for the better.
